Welcome to
COM Week 2026 !
Started by Rosemary Tutt more than 20 years ago, the goal of the first COM Week was to offer students in St. Augustine the chance to network with professionals the way that students in bigger schools or bigger cities could.
That mission still stands today - connecting students to communication professionals from around the world and opening their eyes to the breadth of opportunities available for students who study communication. Over the years, speakers have included Pulitzer Prize winners, authors, war correspondents, digital content creators, agency executives, photographers, health communicators, not-for-profit founders, producers, directors, influencers, filmmakers, countless Flagler grads and more. The week also serves to highlight and celebrate students' projects and achievements both in their work at Flagler College and after graduation.

What's the Story?
Every story begins with a spark — a moment, a message, a mission. This year’s undergraduate communication conference invites students, faculty, and guests to explore the power and purpose of storytelling across disciplines. From the screen to the page, the stage to the stream, “What’s the Story?” is a celebration of the diverse ways we craft, share, and shape narratives in our world today.

Whether you're analyzing media, producing documentaries, crafting journalistic features, designing campaigns, or telling stories through digital platforms, this conference offers a space to showcase your work, engage in meaningful dialogue, and learn from professionals and peers across cinematic arts, digital media production, journalism, media studies, and public relations.

Join us for a dynamic day of presentations, panels, and networking — and discover how your story fits into the bigger picture.

Thank you to Professor Kim's Event Planning Class for making COM Week 2026 possible!
And thank you to all the people who helped with this event - the COM faculty, our speakers, and all the volunteers.
